Explorer Trailers - Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Order Deposits and Customization
Because our trailers are custom-built to order and contain no wood—utilizing specialized composites, aluminum, and steel—the manufacturing process involves significant upfront material procurement.
• Initial Deposits: A 25% deposit is required to secure a production slot.
• Cancellation Window: Orders may be cancelled within [30] business days of the initial deposit for a full refund.
• Non-Refundable Deposits: After the cancellation window, the deposit becomes non-refundable to cover specialized materials and engineering costs already incurred.
2. Manufacturing and Quality Standards Explorer
Trailers are manufactured to meet CSA Z240 RV Series standards and Transport Canada regulations.
• Final Sale: Once the trailer has been delivered and the title has been transferred, the sale is considered final.
• Exchanges: We do not offer exchanges or "change of mind" returns on trailers once they have left our facility in Northern BC.
3. Warranty vs. Refund
If you encounter an issue with your trailer, it is generally handled under our Limited Warranty rather than a refund policy.
• Defects: If a trailer is found to have a manufacturing defect as defined by CSA standards, Explorer Trailers will repair the defect at no cost to the customer.
• Third-Party Components: Components not manufactured by us (e.g., axles, appliances, heaters) are covered by their respective manufacturer warranties.
4. Statutory Rights (Canada-wide)
In accordance with Canadian consumer protection laws:
• Failure to Deliver: If Explorer Trailers fails to deliver the product within [30] days of the promised delivery date, the customer may be entitled to cancel the contract and receive a full refund, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
• Misrepresentation: We are committed to honesty in our marketing. If a product is significantly different from what was described in the sales agreement, we will work with the customer to rectify the discrepancy or discuss a partial refund.
5. Parts and Accessories
For smaller, non-custom parts or gear purchased separately:
• Items must be returned in original packaging within 30 days.
• Customers are responsible for return shipping costs to our Northern BC facility.
• A 15% restocking fee may apply.
