Explorer Trailers - Shipping & Delivery Policy
Effective Date: January 18, 2026
At Explorer Trailers, we are committed to delivering your high-performance trailers safely and efficiently. Because our products are oversized freight, shipping involves specialized handling and logistics.
1. Shipping Destinations
• Canada: We ship to all provinces (Quebec exempt) via specialized freight carriers.
• International: We do not offer international shipping outside of Canada at this time, we are working on having this option in the future.
2. Order Processing & Lead Times
• In-Stock Trailers: Orders are typically processed and prepared for dispatch within 3–5 business days of full payment.
• Custom Builds: Processing for custom or special-order trailers varies based on build complexity. Your sales representative will provide a specific production and shipping timeline at the time of order.
• Transit Times: Once dispatched, standard delivery typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on your proximity to our distribution centers.
3. Shipping Costs
• Shipping fees for trailers are calculated at time of purchase.
Note: Shipping quotes provided at the time of purchase are valid for 30 days.
4. Delivery Method & Requirements
• Freight Carrier: Trailers are delivered via open-deck or specialized transport trailers.
• Access: The delivery address must be accessible by a full-sized tractor-trailer (semi-truck). If the location is restricted (narrow roads, low hanging trees), we may require a meeting at a nearby commercial parking lot.
• Receiving: An adult (18+) must be present at the time of delivery to sign the Proof of Delivery (POD).
5. Inspection & Damage Claims
Crucial: You must inspect the trailer thoroughly before the driver leaves.
• Visible Damage: If there is any damage to the trailer, you must note it specifically on the driver’s Bill of Lading (BOL)/POD before signing.
• Hidden Damage: If you discover damage after the driver has left, it must be reported to Explorer Trailers within 48 hours of delivery.
• Photos: Please take clear photos of any damage and the delivery documents to support your claim.
6. Pick-Up Option (No-Cost)
Customers are welcome to pick up their trailers directly from our main facility to avoid shipping fees.
• Appointment Only: Pick-ups must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
• Requirements: Your towing vehicle must be properly rated for the trailer’s GVWR and equipped with the appropriate hitch and wiring.
7. Cancellations & Redirects Cancellations:
Once a trailer has been loaded onto a carrier, shipping fees are non-refundable.
• Address Changes: Redirecting a shipment in transit will incur a "Re-consignment Fee" charged by the carrier.
